In hospital births due to the ban on visitors
AIBU to think that this is the way it should be in hospital all of the time?

Yes - visitors are great a lot of the time if you're stuck in hospital but recently it has grown to ridiculous amounts . Open visiting is somehow interpreted as a free for all with no peace for ill patients.

Surely its time to go back to strictly limited visiting hours - staggered if necessary for parking purposes.

I’m sure a lot of mums are starting off breastfeeding which is great, but I wonder how many are managing to carry on with no support once they’ve left hospital. My baby is 7 weeks old and we are still having latch problems. I’ve been offered virtual help but what’s the point. I need someone sitting next to me, guiding me. I’m so close to giving up right now with a very unsettled baby, constantly feeding and obviously not getting an effective amount. I understand that they have to reduce the risks of infection etc, but with adequate ppe, I really think they should still be offering some face to face help. Covid has become a bit of an excuse.
