Teaching application help!

Hi,
I'm applying for teaching jobs.
It says 'please list in-service education relevant to your application'

I have googled it and apparantly 'in-service' is courses completed in school.

However, I have done lots of CPD from my own accord online because of the coronavirus.
Does this count?

AIBU = Yes it counts

AIBU = no it has to have been done in the school

I would put all CPD regardless of where it was done, or who paid for it.
I’m a retired Senior Teacher and have read many applications.

Put down all relevant training and who ran the course.

They will decide what weight to assign to it.

It may depend what you have done, but if they say "in-service" then that is probably what they mean OP

It's just as a recent graduate I haven't received much 'in-service' training,
But I have completed an Introduction to British Sign Language course on my own accord and done sone Open Learn courses to keep me going during the coronavirus, so would these not count?

Could you post what you have done in school and then put underneath additional training and list all the courses you have done off your own back and who ran them? It will then show that you are motivated to learn but answer the question correctly.

Are you a qualified teacher? I wouldn't expect a NQT to have lots of inset. The BSL one is good.

In service means training recieved whilst a teacher. Not in school premises. Good luck.
