28 year old too late to start a new career?

Being furloughed has given me a reality check. I've been a makeup artist for 8 years now. My true passion is animal care and I regret not going to uni to do a vet nurse course. I've had time to research courses, it will take a few years, I have a chunk of money saved which was meant to be for a house as I'm still at home. However, am I too old now to start a serious career change? I want to have children too. DP encourages me to go for it and we'll worry about buying a house later, he just wants me to be happy. IDK what to do?

Pleeease do it! I remember feeling too old for anything at 28 but gosh it’s still so young. I’m 37 and hoping to retrain once my youngest child starts school, so I hope you aren’t too old cos that means I’m well past it...

Agree with everyone who's posted - 100% go for it! I worked a good number of years before I actually acknowledged, to myself, I had made the wrong choice from the 2 final options. If I had trained in the other profession - I would be retired with an excellent pension.

Defo not too old. Could you do freelance make up work on weekends to help you financially?

You can do anything! You are not chained to one job, or to one country
