I’ve literally just binge watched it and I’m now on Season 2!Blush

Is it real or staged? Some of it has been pretty intense and awful to watch, the bitchiness especially but seriously, I really can’t get enough of it and how the other half live!

Money doesn’t buy you everything does it!

In a world where everything seems so tense atm this really has taken me away from it all!

Anyone else have a guilty pleasure?

I’ve even Googled some of the characters and found out that I’m way behind on this!

Hayu isn’t on Virgin TV anymore 😡😡

LucyTrainsDragons · 12/06/2020 18:33

Oh wow @JessicaDay! Really? Grin

LucyTrainsDragons · 12/06/2020 18:35

I think someone’s been watching too much reality tv!

Please explain where I was bitching about you?

🤔

I’ve finished seasons 1 and 2 OP and I think I’m going to get Hayu so I can watch more!

I really went off Kim too. She was so flakey and defensive, also agree they were horrible to Brandi though I see Kim had her issues.

What happened with Taylor and Russell is awful and I can’t imagine they’d air the show if something like that happened now.

LucyTrainsDragons · 12/06/2020 18:38

I’m really sitting here opened mouthed about @JessicaDay reply to me!

This was a lighthearted thread!

LucyTrainsDragons · 12/06/2020 18:39

And if any other poster can fathom out what I’ve done, please let me know!

OP posts:
LucyTrainsDragons · 12/06/2020 19:37

@SomeBunnyovertheRainbow totally agree with you.

I didn’t know about Russell until I Googled Taylor and then realised just how far behind I was. Then I thought, is it right to have aired the show?

It’s really tragic & i feel so much for Taylor & her dd.

I’ve binged watched Selling Sunset but I am currently binging on Desperate Housewives! Oh the nostalgia 😂

Carycy · 12/06/2020 19:42

Op you need to watch selling sunset on Netflix. It’s like the real housewives with glam estate agents Instead and Hollywood property porn.

LucyTrainsDragons · 12/06/2020 19:45

I’ll definitely add Selling Sunset to my list, sounds just up my street!

I've been watching the real housewives of beverly hills too, loving it. Wish i had their lifestyle although maybe without the drama.
Also 90 day fiance on tlc is great viewing.

LucyTrainsDragons · 12/06/2020 20:05

It’s such a fairy tale lifestyle but there is a dark side too.

Really does show that while it helps, money can’t buy you happiness, it is a cliche but so true.

Same, OP. I googled some of the Housewives when I first started watching. I was curious about things like some of their ages and also whether they are still together. And then I saw what happened with Russell so I know by the time they talked about it in the reunion. Taylor had a book out (they all did, to be fair) and I am tempted to read hers.

I don’t know what Jessica Whatever’s problem is OP. You did nothing wrong!

But I’m with you. I didn’t really want to pay for another subscription. I really want to watch more of this but I’m wondering whther to watch some of the others that are on Netflix. Selling Sunset is very good too and similar to RH.

I would so watch Desperate Housewives if I had Prime.

fairyfingers · 12/06/2020 20:19

Say yes to the dress and I've taken dds with me. We are choosy though - mostly we only like the New York Kleinfelds version (loving your work Randy) although we are also liking the Atlanta version.

We dont like the UK rip off ones with David Emmanuel or Gok but do like Curvy Brides Boutique with the fab Essex ladies in their Essex barn.

MorganKitten · 12/06/2020 20:21

@LucyTrainsDragons you need HayU... all 10 seasons of BH... and every other season!

samlovesdilys · 12/06/2020 20:26

In a house of testosterone I enjoy the occasional dose of "Say yes to the dress" or "I found the gown"...even better I binge watched "Virgin River" on Netflix!!

MorganKitten · 12/06/2020 20:27

Those of you who love Kyle... why? I loved Erika joining.
Also Brandi is an awful human being in real life.

RHOA had a zoom reunion, all the others are delayed or on hold as they haven’t finished editing and don’t want to do zoom reunions as RHOA and Vanderpump Rules wasn’t great, so with everything on hold loads of time to catch up ;)

I’ve seen pretty much all of the HW seasons and there’s a lot of drama between seasons too

Stroller15 · 12/06/2020 20:28

Yes what a strange reply! Anyway, also agree on Selling Sunset - I cannot tell you what's good about it but I loved it!

DontStandSoCloseToMe · 12/06/2020 20:34

RHOBH is also my guilty pleasure, it gets more staged as it goes on but also some of the long term characters develop actual friendships too. Lisa Vanderpump makes it for me, to the extent I now also watch Vanderpump rules!!!! I have a very serious professional job and when I've revealed this to colleagues some can't believe it and then a fair few choices they have a real housewives franchise they like too, we all need down time, well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it 😁 (I really just like seeing fancy houses, amazing holiday destinations and rich women fight over ridiculous things...)

wanderlove · 12/06/2020 20:35

Selling Sunset! You won't regret it!

LucyTrainsDragons · 12/06/2020 20:41

I do like Lisa, I also really love cute little Portia, Kyle’s dd, how sweet is she and the spit of Mauricio (sp?)

I have felt for a Taylor throughout and towards the end of Season 2 I was happy that Lisa mellowed towards her.

Most of then know each other and get brought in due to being friends shown before (this happens at least three times in BH) but you can tell those not in the circle and can see how things change.

They have deals with each other not to bring certain things up, Brandi breaks that a lot. And they off screen told Denise something to have the camera cut... but it was a set up to make her look stupid.

And production get certain wives to do things to give storylines... or in NJ they break the fourth wall and throw a wife under the bus.

MorganKitten · 12/06/2020 20:43

Oh and Dinner party from hell... By seasons 10 some of what Alison said is ringing true....

LucyTrainsDragons · 12/06/2020 20:44

Thanks all for your Selling Sunset suggestions, I’m going to add to my list and binge watch.
