I literally went out earlier to a friend's house to have a socially distanced cuppa. Then I went to do my food shopping. That's all I've done all day: I've had to come home and go to bed because I feel absolutely exhausted. This is a constant thing. I can't go out of my house for more than an hour without feeling absolutely drained when I come home.

I started sorting my garden out the other day for a tip run (shed has just been taken down) and after half an hour I was drained.

I used to be in the gym most days, this isn't normal for me. I feel like I've had flu (I haven't) every time I do even the smallest tasks or activities I'm that exhausted.

I look after myself, eat healthily, don't drink, sleep well etc. What is wrong with me?

Thyroid, Vit D & B12 checks would be my go to like PP have said. I had symptoms like this year and my Vit D & B12 were through the floor.

It could be stress? Even if we don't realise it, what we're going through is so alien it must be hugely stressful on the body.
Of the different stress responses, fight/flight/freeze, I suspect many of us are stuck for prolonged amounts of time in freeze, since there's nothing to fight or run from. The effort of moving from there into a more actively engaged state, especially a social state - seeing a friend, could be as draining as it is enjoyable.

Ah it doesn't come in waves, it's constant. I eat well and exercise as much as I can and it just doesn't help. I'm the ideal weight for my height, with a tendency to lose weight rather than gain.

@Thisdressneedspockets I would agree with you if it hadn't been going on for so long. Not much has changed for me through this period, and I'm generally pretty laid back anyway. I'll keep an eye on my mental state anyway, even if not for this reason it's as important as physical health

I'm going to ring the GP on Monday and ask for some tests and see what they say. My GP is generally brilliant and will get me in if there's any way to do so. Thanks for all the help Smile
