The ordinary is completely out of stock everywhere, and I mean everywhere. I have managed to get some Inkey List before that goes completely out of stock too.

What do you use?

What age should you start applying retinol? How do you use it? Do you build it up gradually? I’d love to learn more about it.

I use Murads youth renewal retinol night cream. I also tried the serum but it was too much for my sensitive skin.

Time2change2 · 03/06/2020 23:34

I would also love to hear how you start to use it and any put falls to be aware of

I use Dermalogica age reversal eye cream which is 0.1%, I think. I only use it at night and only every 3rd night as it’s strong!

I use La Roche-Posay b3 retinol serum. I’m pretty new to it and it really dried my forehead out originally but I use a ceramide serum on top and it’s calmed down since. I’m only in my early 30’s and hoping to get rid of some dark spots caused my sun damage. Watching this with interest.

For anyone wanting to know more about retinol then look at the long running skin care threads in style & beauty. There is a very informative fact sheet in the OP that tells you what it is, how to use it, which versions are the most effective etc. It was written a while ago so doesn’t include the most up to date products (including Dermatica) but it’s a good place to start.
