Do you think the news on coronvirus will decline

We will all start getting on with our lives, coronvirus will be forgotten about, the less it’s on the news. I remember in the 80’s everyone talking about AIDS and then it just stopped, hardly mentioned. I can see less news, less threads on here, people starting to get back to a sort of normal.

As in sure eventually if the R number stays low and the pandemic is downgraded, and social distancing measures are completely lifted then of course it won't be as febrile and with so many topics on here.

I do think however it will be talked about for months to come. The economy, schooling impact, fear of second waves etc...

Yes, hopefully soon. I'm sick to the back teeth of hearing about it.

Maybe later but not at the moment. When all year groups are back in a normal way (highly unlijely this will be Sept for everyone to go back full time), when all transport is back to normal, when social distancing stops safely, when we can freely travel and stay in another household. Only then will the news stop but we are along way from all those things happening .

We now have enough traffic for traffic news. Exciting times!

It will eventually get replaced with dire economic news and a no deal Brexit. Then Nisan leaving. Then millions redundant. Then a health care crisis because no one else has been treated ............ so much to look forward to.

Coverage of AIDS declined because it had limited immediate impact on the lives of most people in the UK, and eventually effective treatment made it less visible.

Covid 19 really isn't comparable.

I think it’s already happening actually. It’s starting to scale back. And that’s a good thing in my opinion, it’s not the only thing going on in the world.

Meh they’ve said that since before we voted for brexit and they still haven’t left so it becomes more of an empty threat the more times they say it.
