How can I stop feeling so angry and take back the power?

I hate the way DH behaves, I hate that he does nothing (house or childcare) and I hate the way he controls me. There...I said it Sad

BUT I don't want this anger to consume me anymore. I don't want to be labelled the nagging wife, I don't want to lower myself to his level.

I don't want to chase him, I don't want to beg him to spend time with me or the DC, I'm just tired of it all.

I want to take back the power, get the ball back in my court once again. I want to start building a life for myself and prove him wrong. I can do everything I want to do, I will do it and he will be left behind with his sad, boring life stuck on his phone with his pretend friends.

I don't want revenge. I want success, and success is the best revenge. Please help me start making plans.

What do you need to be able to leave?

Lilythepinkypink · 02/06/2020 21:44

I can't leave anytime soon. I just want to know how to cope until the time comes when it is an option.

Have an exit plan. Make it tangible. Focus your energy on getting away. He won't change

You detach.

You see him for the useless man he is and start doing things that bring you joy and happiness.

Do grey rock. Make yourself really boring, don't engage with him, just be calm and polite. You will no longer be playing the games he's set up, you'll be doing your own thing.
