To be so fed up with always being in pain

It’s constant, my GP doesn’t know why and it’s making me fat.
It started with pelvic pain from pregnancy 14 years ago that never improved. Back then I could walk or exercise for around 30 mins before the pain got to bad to move.
Now that pain is there constantly, over the years I’ve started getting the same pain in other parts of my body, my lower back. my knees, my wrists, my fingers. I wake in pain, if I exercise I can’t move for days. People used to comment on how strong I was yet now some times I can’t even open a jar, I’ve lost all the grip in my hands. If I try and use my hands to put something together for example, my fingers swell and go hot and sore.
I toss and turn all night trying to find a position that doesn’t hurt. I’ve seen a physio privately which didn’t help, I had a pelvis and hip scan which showed ‘some wear’ but nothing else so was discharged. I’ve had bloods checked, nothing found.

I can’t run around with the kids anymore, If I go for a walk I can’t go far in case my body decides it’s had enough. My joints pop and crack constantly. On top of this I suffer permanent exhaustion, I could literally lie down all day every day just being upright feels tiring. It feels like life is ruined by this and there’s just no point.

Yes. It sucks hard

I can only suggest that you keep on at the doctors until they find out the issue.

I eventually paid privately for additional scans that found my problem and this allowed for treatment to resolve it

A referral to Rheumatology would be appropriate, as your description ticks all of the boxes for a number of conditions.

I feel you OP. Mine has exacerbated hard during lockdown - doctors agree I need referrals but can't do anything. It's been really hard. I am sorry Flowers

Yep sounds like you need a referral to a rheumatologist. Lots of diseases are treatable these days and can give you a good quality of life.

I used to be as you describe but on medication my life is near normal these days. A new normal admittedly but such an improvement.

I have exactly the same as you plus bladder issues it’s horrible and depressing as well, my mri showed general wear on my lower spine nothing major but they did find adenomyosis, I suspect from my own research that maybe it’s pushing on a nerve/s. But I’m at same point, they given me a coil to get rid of horrific periods but I feel like an old lady most of the time, I’m struggling to lose weight and every time I exercise I can barely move after it’s very disheartening and you have my sympathy. I now try and just manage the pain, walk daily, be healthier in general
