To expect a cleaning agency to arrange a proper handover to new person?

I decided to try out this agency. They sent a nice person who I was home enough to be able to train (where are keys, access to back garden, etc,) but after 3 months of rain, she has quit. Now I am at work all the time, and I thought (?foolishly) that the old one would show the new one the ropes on the last day.

Nope. And she's never seen a dishwasher or tumble dryer before.

This agency charges £10 an hour! I thought they would make it easier and so were worth it, but it looks like I was mistaken.

Never used an agency myself, but imagine they wouldn't use one person to train another unless you requested and paid double time while this was going on. Maybe this will give you the chance to improve on anything the previous cleaner didn't do very well? I've got various gripes about my cleaner but not enough to do anything about

the problem is, I'm at work, plus I've just realised that this agency sends them at different times each week, because I told them I didn't mind what time she came (well I don't, unless I have to show her everything!).

I think the main problem is the turnover, I've used a cleaner for years but they stay a shorter and shorter time.

Why can't you show her how to use the dishwasher and tumble dryer?
May be better to employ a local person privately than use these agencies that are just "fronts" for slave labour.
They may charge you £10 an hour but i'm sure the workers get hardly anything.

They get at least £7 take home.
