Mixing bubbles?

I was due to send my reception child back next week. However, I have just learnt that children who have been attending key workers club at the school throughout the lockdown are going to be included in the reception bubbles. In our school they will be social distancing within their bubbles.

This was not explicitly explained to us in the return details we have been given prior to making a decision about whether to send our child back or not.

I assumed that the new worker children would remain in their own bubble as I thought the idea was not to mix bubbles. Plus, the children aren't going back full time so the on the days the children aren't in school the key either children will go back to their original bubbles.

Should this be a worry to me? Would it be to you? It's made me question my decision to send her back and I am not sure I am happy about it. I thought the idea was not to mix bubbles. I know the risk is extremely low but I don't think they will be able to maintain the social distancing rules at all times and surely it is a greater risk if they are in a bubble with a child who's parents are dealing with COVID-19 patients. We have a lot of key worker children at our school.

Would this change your decision?

This makes me laugh.

As a mum of three who have been at school for the last ten weeks, I can assure you that each teacher that is now teaching your kids has been mixing with them. You’ll go to Tesco but insist your kids stay away from keyworkers ha ha ha. Just stay at home if you are that worried.

No, I am afraid your wrong. I asked my dds teacher and he has not been in school for the duration neither has the other year group teacher. I haven't been to Tesco more than a few times either as been getting click and collect.

Thanks for your laugher about a genuine concern of mine. Nice.
