This Dress? I keep going back to it but not sure if it'll be ok as am pretty curvy? I buy from them when am in the town, mainly seasalt tunics ect. Free delivery is tempting me.

But then again I am trying to lose a couple of stone. Maybe I should wait until then and treat myself?

You will look amazing.

If the dress makes you feel good you will wear it with panache, and that's far better than tailored to fit worn with a downcast air.

TheTrollFairy · 29/05/2020 12:44

I would deffo get it.... it has pockets 😂

Qgardens · 29/05/2020 12:47

That's the sort of dress that suits my pear shape. Go for it.

borntobequiet · 29/05/2020 13:00

The sizing! Is it American? I thought a 14 was a 38 inch bust. It was in my day anyway.
And actually still is judging by the clothes that fit me now.

TheHighestSardine · 29/05/2020 13:00

That's far nicer than the Seasalt sack in today's other dress thread :) Go for it.

Samtsirch · 29/05/2020 13:03

I think it’s a gorgeous dress, you are quite tall, It will probably look fab.

Samtsirch · 29/05/2020 13:05

Now I keep getting Seasalt adverts on my laptop
and I can’t afford them!!!😩

EmeraldShamrock · 29/05/2020 13:05

At 5.8 this dress will look great on you.

LillianBland · 29/05/2020 13:21

Blimey, OP, you’ve done well. I’ve never seen a fashion type post with 100% of posters liking something. I’m not a dress type person, but that is a very flattering style.

incognitomum · 29/05/2020 13:38

If the sizing is big that's a bonus tbh.

@returnofthecat I bloody love a dress with pockets me Grin

Fuck me it's out of stock now! Sad

I found it elsewhere earlier with 10% off not 20 but still free delivery.

New to mn reading your posts now really intrigued what dress it is but can't see it 🤣?

MiniCooperLover · 29/05/2020 13:44

It's lovely OP, I've just ordered it in a 16, though the size guide is a little strange. I'm a 38 bust so often get a 14/16 but had to get a 16 as the waist measurement seems small. I guess I'll see when it arrives 😊

Looks like an extreme example of size inflation. I'll get called out for 'fat shaming' now, but it really struck me. Even the size 10 is over the diabetes guidelines for waist size. And a 36inch bust is the smallest!

YappityYapYap · 29/05/2020 13:56

To be honest, I think this style of dress always looks more flattering on a curvier woman rather than a very slim woman. I think sizes 10-18 are what this style is aimed at because it comes in at the waist and out over the tummy and hips and you need a bit of bust to make it look good. It doesn't flatter the second model at all. She probably has a very slim tummy and nice legs hiding under that dress so something a bit shorter with a higher neckline would look better on her. If I was a size 4-8, would I fuck be wearing a dress like that 😂. I'd be in fitted things. However I am actually a size 16 so I would wear this

MiniCooperLover · 29/05/2020 13:56

Oh does that mean I've actually ordered a 20 and not a 16?

incognitomum · 29/05/2020 14:33

@gracex4 if you click on the word dress in the first post you should see it. Although it's gone.

Oh that's lovely never heard of it tbh but love the style. I currently live in 4 dresses this style with pockets 🤣

Completely agree. Anyone with curves will rock that, no problem Smile

LillianBland · 29/05/2020 18:10

It’s be all those bloody Mumsnetters. That’s what happens when you tempt them with something nice, OP. 😁

MiniCooperLover · 29/05/2020 18:37

Hmm .. yes ... sorry ...

MrsVeryTired · 29/05/2020 18:50

Definitely depends on your shape, wouldn't suit me at all, I'm a 12/14 (biggish boobs, medium waist and slimmish hips, legs are best feature) and that would look awful on me.

Maybe on an hourglass with very slim waist or pear again with slim waist but on me that would look decidedly frumpsville and matronly.

The sizing seems a bit weird too.

Yearcat13 · 29/05/2020 18:52

Depends on your body shape not size. Can you send it back if not suitable?
