To think Tom was an absolute shit to Lorna in Waterloo Road

I am just rewatching from the beginning and I remember Lorna being hard work and neurotic. However how much of a shit is Tom? He tells her he doesn't love her when she is about to start teaching for the day, declares he is in love with her best friend to her best friend, still marries her when best friend turns him down, kisses best friend at the wedding and then when she is pregnant he fucks off to the pub in a mood, comes back and drunkenly and nastily tells her he would never have married her if he knew she was pregnant leaving her sobbing at the bottom of the stairs. And that's how far I have got so far.

I remember Tom being a much loved character but be is an absolute arse isn't he?

@ItsNotJaneFonda - I watched all of Waterloo Road, and live near Paisley (which isn’t too far from Greenock) so it moved to there, I talked dh into taking me to look for the school where it was filmed. Yes, I am that sad! BlushGrin

The pupils aren't as good towards the end. I liked Karla and the ginger girl. Bolton and Maxine.

In the later series how did Chris get away with sleeping with the heads daughter and keeping her job?! Odd!

The pupils certainly weren't as good towards the end. I don't think it helped that many of them looked way older than the age they were supposed to be.

@Leeds2

Pickles89, the school moves from Rochdale to Scotland (Greenock, I think), and a few pupils and staff decide to transfer (there is a boarding house for students relocating without their parents). Tom decides to relocate, and dies when a former Rochdale wild boy comes up to visit, and ends up on the roof. Tom falls off the roof and is killed, when trying to save him. Can't remember the boy's name! I grew to like Rhiannon in the end, but it took a while!
Kyle Stack!

I always wondered why Grantly couldn't have Tom's kidney after all. Too damaged?

Kyle Stack!! Yes, that was the boy!!

I don't think it was ever said that the kidney was too damaged. Just that Tom had died, and Grantly couldn't have it.
