Not unreasonable to be annoyed but not much you can do about it. Odd that she managed to find 2 other parents willing to allow it.

Just explain that much like children not all adults follow rules. It’s not fair but it is a bit of a learning curve.

YANBU, but YABU for calling friends "playdates"

It's really annoying. I would be annoyed, but variable adherence to social distancing guidance is something we're going to have to learn to live with.

Tell her it’s OK because Father Christmas probably won’t visit children who break lockdown rules

I saw a mum from school today having a picnic with another school mum and their kids! She's also pregnant so even more foolish.

I think a lot of people have relaxed how they are acting or stretched the boundaries of the rules a little bit. I think it is bound to happen as time goes on.

I had a cup of tea in my parents garden with my daughter after dropping off a walker for my mum. Dropping of the walker was fine (I guess comes under care for a vulnerable person) but the cup
Of tea in the garden would have been against the rules. Personally though I didn’t think being sat in her garden 3 meters from her having a drink was too big a risk. I also went in for a wee (I was slightly less happy about but I needed to use the toilet before I drove home again).

I guess my point is that from a neighbours perspective it probably looked like us just have a jolly in the garden breaking the rules. However I needed to drop the walker off as she hasn’t been out or moving at all and her mobility has reduced significantly so I’m hoping the walker can help with that. Also I’m human so needed a wee before I left and I’m doing that I could see that my parents home has become really clutter and that I’m gonna have to do something about that if possible (that’ll need some thinking about with social distancing) as it’s close to being hazardous.

We haven't done it but to be honest I think a lot of people are ignoring the rules now.
