CF Parking thread

I'm posting her for traffic. I decided to wash my windows and I look out to find next door visitor has completely blocked me despite the fact no one is on the drive and plenty of other places. I'm fuming and thinking of making an excuse to get them to move. Attached photo of their CF

Have you been round and asked them to move yet? That would be a sensible first step.

I live on a house that has a shared drive that fans out at the top to three houses.

My next door neighbour - not one of the three sharing the drive but the other side of me - had friends round. One of them parked his car bang in the middle of our drive - which is really obviously a drive - and blocked all three houses in. I knocked on door and asked him to move so that I could get out (I didn't need out, it was just annoying me). He moved his car onto the street. Car was still there the next morning so he had obviously stayed over and had planned on dumping his car on our drive overnight. I actually question the sobriety of someone who thought that was an acceptable place to park. But he was probably just an inconsiderate arse.

Have they (visitors) blocked you before - maybe you hadn't noticed or hadn't mentioned and now they think it's a Free For All

"Well Allsorts isn't going anywhere and if she is all she has to do is knock" kind of attitude .

I would recommend bird seed , but in the absence , some small bits of wholemeal bread and bacon rind will bring the birds flocking to shit on the car .

I've got them to move the car no apology from neighbour but their vistor looked sheepish I just didnt get it when they could park anywhere. I haven't been back home yet to see if any more cf has gone on.

If they've put the car back into the same space, park right up against their bumper, then go out for a walk.

I'm posting her for traffic or not ha ha

A stupid place to park, but does it really matter if you're not going out? With all thats going on in the world is it such a big deal?

To those saying "What does it matter if you're not going out?", how can you be so sure that you definitely won't want/need to go out again? What if you need to run an errand, if you find your milk's gone off or you've run out of something; if you see something advertised on TV and think "Ooh, yes, I fancy some of that!"? Lockdown notwithstanding, what if a friend calls you with a last-minute invitation to go out somewhere?

if I pay to buy and run a car, it's up to me to decide when and where I legally use it - not some random stranger. If I've decided that I probably don't want or need to use it, it's still my decision if I want to change my mind at any point.

Unless you have to go out I don’t see the issue, if you do then of course ask the CF to move.

It was the pure laziness of it, it was clear on my photo there was ample parking on the street even space outside the front of our house without parking across someones drive blocking the car in like WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll (love you're username) and other PPs I should be able to go out without having to knock on someones door because they blocked me in. Its something I wanted to nip in the bud as they regularly have vistors. Oh I so wish I had an olaf to book them in.
