To ask if anyone has tried the cherry bakewell digestives?

I’m in 2 minds whether to buy them or not.

I’m not in the slightest bit tempted by the marmalade on toast option.

Are the cherry bakewell ones nice?

I need these. I've not heard of them before!

Toddlerteaplease · 22/05/2020 22:46

Digestives are a waste of calories!

PierceHawthornesSexDungeon · 22/05/2020 23:00

They were a huge disappointment

ZuzusPetaIs · 22/05/2020 23:12

Wasn’t aware of these as I usually avoid the biscuit aisle like the plague. However, I’m really up for trying the marmalade ones - they sound brilliant.

bookmum08 · 22/05/2020 23:17

I tried them strawberries and cream. I was disappointed.
That made me sad.
Might give the marmalade ones a go.

BeBraveAndBeKind · 22/05/2020 23:19

I love cherry bakewells but these are just wrong. As are Pineapple jaffa cakes. Urgh.

Howaboutanewname · 22/05/2020 23:19

Lovely!

Less keen on strawberries and cream and toast and marmalade is yuk.m

twilightcafe · 22/05/2020 23:20

Save your money. They taste like cherry cough sweets.

seeingdouble2 · 22/05/2020 23:22

Totally shite, shouldn't bother OP, now if your talking about the chocolate caramel classic 's that would be another story Grin

JacobReesMogadishu · 22/05/2020 23:23

Think I might get the marmalade ones instead then.

I hate caramel so that’s a no go.

I bought the cherry bakewell and the marmalade on toast, expecting to love the cherry and not the marmalade ones.

In fact marmalade on toast won hands down. The cherry ones reminded me of cough mixture.

ilovetomatoes · 22/05/2020 23:30

Was sooooo excited to try these but sadly they were not good. Super sweet artificial. Avoid!

19lottie82 · 22/05/2020 23:36

Marmalade on toast ones are lush. They’re basically just chocolate orange digestives.

nordstrom · 22/05/2020 23:37

They are horrible. Even my 7 yr old biscuit monster didn't like them.

36degrees · 22/05/2020 23:41

This is making me want to make cherry and almond flapjacks, I bet they would be amazing.

beebeeduck · 22/05/2020 23:43

I bought some and ate half of one.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 22/05/2020 23:43

No not tried those they sounds too sweet

The Marmalade on Toast ones are delicious my new favourite biscuit

CoRhona · 22/05/2020 23:44

Both the cherry bakewells and the strawberries and cream had a revolting aftertaste.

However, in our family of five it was just me that thought so - everyone else thought they were lovely!

Davros · 22/05/2020 23:45

Are they McVities?

Marbling · 22/05/2020 23:49

No, they taste like the artificial flavouring used in black cherry yogurts

mama202 · 22/05/2020 23:53

Didn't like them at all and love anything cherry bake well flavour!

AdoptedBumpkin · 22/05/2020 23:59

I've not heard of them. The concept sounds fabulous.

bestlifetime · 23/05/2020 04:29

Oh I don't go shopping at the moment due to everything but I'm going to add these all to the list.

The last family trip to Tesco's back in those wild free days I picked up rubarb custard creams - own brand and amazing !!!

PhilCornwall1 · 23/05/2020 05:29

Nooooo!!! The the best tasting digestive is a naked one!!! ShockShock

thismeansnothing · 23/05/2020 06:10

They are fab. But not as good as the marmalade toast ones
