Morrisons deliveries - ??

Sorry but posting here for traffic.

I have been trying to get a delivery slot for my 84 year old dad who is 300 miles away from me. He is not shielding but still, I don't want him going out as he has a bad knee and lives in a Coronavirus hot spot.

Am I missing something with their slots. They are 3 days slots, then next 3 days and nothing beyond this. Never a slot available. Bloody frustrating.

Is there some kind of secret like they come available at 12 midnight or something?

I have just checked Morrison's, I am not a delivery pass holder though have had an occasional delivery in the past. I can randomly see 2 slots for this coming Monday, then nothing till June 2, I can see until June 10, so 3 weeks.

Wonder why others are so different.

Morrison’s certainly get released at 6am where I am(Scotland). I’ve been up at 4/5am with the baby and no slots. 6 something and loads of slots.

I only see the 3 day slots (all full) then unavailable for all the the restSad
I'm 'severely disabled' so if I can't get the Affordable Transport to take me, and it's not running atm, then it's home delivery or relying on the kindness of strangers.
I've used Iceland twice, tho. They've had lots of slots.Poor wine choices thoBlush

Op is there any local farm shops doing delivery? Or contactless click and collect?

I relied on farm shops back in March and they were a life lube, still use them now but supplement with supermarket

Have a search online in his local area

No shortage of slots at our tesco.

turquoise50 · 21/05/2020 19:22

In my area they've started having slots available again since the beginning of May (first ones since early March). I've managed twice now by booking on a Monday for the following Sunday.

I find it helps if you're willing to accept an unpopular time slot. We're total night owls, so I generally get my deliveries about 9pm or even later!

You know the Morrison's app is off, right? You have to use their desktop version, which is a bit annoying if you do everything on your phone like I do, but the slots are there. I was amazed when I finally got my first one three weeks ago! Got another one booked for this coming Sunday and am irrationally excited. Sad isn't it? Grin

My elderly parents use Iceland. It's a bit limited, but they do put elderly and vulnerable customers first and they always seem to manage to get a slot.

Morrison’s do a next day delivery service for elderly and vulnerable customers.

You can get Morrisons next day deliveries through Amazon

You might need to have prime though. £40 min order.

Waitrose have rapid rapid.waitrose.com/
Delivery within two hours
Only £10 minimum basket spend

Co-op deliver to certain areas within two hours

I think Iceland are supposed to be quite good too.

Zombie thread - someone has reactivated it to promote Deliveroo

Couchbettato · 21/11/2020 17:22

Do they live somewhere that Amazon do Prime Now.

Our Amazon prime now also delivers for Morrisons and we always get an on the day 2 hour delivery slot even if we order up to 5 pm on an evening.

I don't know how far this scheme has stretched out but if Morrisons don't deliver, Amazon do and the groceries are pretty much the same.

DP have Tesco deliveries. They rang up and said they were vulnerable. They get a different kind of delivery. I think it’s a general slot 7-7pm and then on the day they get a call to let them know a smaller delivery window. It’s a different part of the website they use.
