Neighbour and sodding sax

Neighbour plays his saxophone out of his front window at 4.30 every day since lockdown started. He's fairly mediocre at playing it. He brings it out for the carer clap some Thursdays.

Another neighbour further down the road is also playing some kind of brass instrument out of their window every day.

Why the exhibitionism? Do they think they're lifting the mood? It's not the most unpleasant sound but I wish they would stop, or shut the window, or play in a back room.

I'm not enjoying lockdown.

No one has to practise a tambourine. Not even Linda McCartney.

Someone was using either an air horn or a vevezuela just now Envy

I have to admit, I totally misread the title! 😊

A colleague of mine is working from home from her flat while her next door neighbour gives music lessons over Zoom... on trombone!

I feel her (and your) pain!

Sax playing in my road 8pm Thursdays too. About 20 minutes worth.

Oh good, an opportunity to trot out a favourite song from my childhood

Just to update - we now have the sax, the trumpet and a third instrument being played at all hours of the day and late into the evening. Yippee!

I have to say, I really worry about this! I am an instrumental teacher (violin/viola and cello) and work for a music service. I have been giving music lessons through an online platform since lockdown. It is 9-4.30, 5 days a week. I teach upstairs, and live in a detached house, try to keep the windows closed and put fans on instead etc, but sometimes the heat and humidity is stifling and I do open my window a bit. Am so worried my neighbours think badly of me, but I'm just trying to work at home too! Nobody has complained yet but maybe I just have tolerant neighbours Blush
