Idiots complaining about too many people being out when they're out too.

A couple days ago on the news they interviewed a woman who had driven an hour and a half to the beach. Think was Dorset.

She was complaining bitterly that it’s “as busy as Tesco’s and it’s sooooo hard to keep distance” with a sad bemused face

It was Like she was Completely not getting the fact she was also at the beach. Or maybe felt entitled to be there herself but felt others shouldn't be

Don’t want to (infinitesimally) risk yourself being around people? Well don’t go to places that will probably be busy and then get angry that others are at that same place too !! 🤦‍♀️

I've seen it all over the place. people on social media posting stuff like "OMG I'm in B&M stores and there's sooooo many people out what's wrong with people" even posting pics of the long queues

Absolute Fuckwits the lot of them

you probably should, as the guidelines were to go out as little as possible and limit your shopping as much as you possibly could.
Yeah but can you imagine if they did as always someone makes out they have single handed saved the country.
I agree go as infrequent as possible, I do a shop once a week but some say that's too many it should be fortnightly, monthly every 3 months and then there one who's said I've not left the house since 4th February if I can do it everyone else can . Where does it end. ? Hmm
Just a bit of common sense really I'd not tell someone how often they should and shouldn't go out no one should . Confused

I am sure that the journalist interviewed a few people on that beach and then chose to show the one with the lady in question as being the best piece to get a reaction from viewers.

if the government didn't seem fit to impose restrictions, why would anyone. You can understand the frustration of people who are making an effort when others don't give a monkey.

Same kind of people who go swimming in a shark area, because they know better, and end up sobbing to be rescued when they suddenly encounter a sardine....

It's like a woman I know which claims she hasn't left her house since lockdown begin and everyone else who doesn't work the nhs should do the same! When asked how she gets food and essentials she said shes things delivered and get takeaways. Well then those people cant stay home can they cause they have deliver everything to you!

This woman was as infuriating as her complaint was hilarious. Christ.

@TillyFloss10 🤣🤣

Generally I find that those who are in favour of a longer and harsher lockdown only want it so THEY personally can "stay safe"

They're completely ok with delivery drivers, shop staff, and of course healthcare workers doing their jobs

It's not as simple though, is it. The quieter the streets and the emptier the trains/tubes, the safer people who HAVE to take them are.

The more people go, as a group, in shops to browse and buy completely unnecessary items because they are bored so it becomes their "daily walk" of the day, the more crowded the shops because and the less safe for all of us - who do need food eventually.

Local Facebook group is hysterical. Literally. I am in East Sussex. Small town, can drive to Hastings, Bexhill and Eastbourne in 20 mins. They all have plenty of parking, wide beaches and often wide foot paths. Last couple of days ice cream kiosks have started opening, odd cafe doing takeaway coffee etc. As it is beautifully sunny people are at the beach. No toilets open so literally you can only go for as long as you don't need a wee.
Fb groups are full of people at the beach taking photos of others at the beach commenting on them not being local. As all the hotels, airbnbs , caravan parks and campsites are closed I fail to see how they cannot be local. Fgs.

I can sympathise with the locals, where do you think people will relieve themselves? Grin

I fail to see how they cannot be local. as in.. they DROVE there maybe?
You are where most Londoner chose to spend the day on the beach in normal days, much less traffic than straight to Brighton. (most Londoners who go on the beach, not most Londoners in general obviously)

I do feel for the locals, it's a bit like local schools: people who pay a premium to live somewhere should have priority access , so opening car parks and beaches to permit holder only would be fair.

I know it's not happening, but it would make it pleasant for everyone.

My local news is full of a story about a dog on the beach who rolled in human excrement today......so I know exactly where people are relieving themselves!

The interview she gave is precisely why I've always said no when I've been approached by camera for a comment on local news programmes. You dont know how it's going to edited from the question that's been asked. You are thinking on your feet and sometimes things dont quite come out the way you mean. This woman could have said a few more sentences but it's been edited out and makes her look silly.
Media manipulation is a thing!
I do think she was daft travelling an hour and half away though!!

The beach in question was Durdle Door. It's gorgeous.

The next beauty spot down (honestly, we are spoiled for them) is Lulworth Cove. The poor residents of Lulworth Cove had a weekend of people parking in their drives, peeing in their gardens, littering and being sworn at. Search up Facebook for "Create at the Cove" for one business owners experience recently.

I'm pretty close to both beaches, I'd love to go back, it's my happy place. But I won't because of the impossibility of social distancing. The paths down to both beaches are narrow and steep, only one way in and one way out, only one hand rail for however many manky snotty hands.

It's awful :(

I've got a holiday booked for October half term in Cornwall. My mum passed away recently and we are taking my Stepdad away for some rest and relaxation as he's devastated. He's been looking forward to this break so much and now he's on the phone saying he wants to cancel because people won't want us there. All we want to do is walk the coast path and have a quiet drink of an evening.

It's really annoyed me that twattish, entitled, cockwombles are ruining this for everyone.

If anyone reading this was one of the people descending on a beauty spot and peeing in a garden because the toilets are closed... have a fucking word with yourself.

I am so glad I’m not the only one. I cannot bare reading ‘daily walk’.

I had an irrational dislike for anybody going on these ‘daily walks’ at the beginning of lock down. I’ve calmed down slightly now.

A friend of mine did this to himself on Facebook at the weekend.

Long post about how there were so many people at a local beach and how dreadful it was and they shouldn’t be there etc. It was pointed out to him that he’s a 30 minute drive away and how was he any different.

It’s like people who sit in their cars and complain about the traffic, like they aren’t also traffic

I was in a local FB group and a woman posted a video complaining of ''all these people in the park;; when in fact there was hardly anyone. She said ''look, people playing football!'' You'd think there was 22 men, a ref and a coach load of supporters, when in fact it was a man kicking a ball about with his 2 kids. Then ti top it she pointed the camera at 2 men who weren't talking English and saying ''and yes here's the ''foreigners'', obviously not in the same household''. Like ''foreigners''aren't allowed exercise, and could have been brothers or housemates. All the time oblivious that she was out too and that videoing others isn't exercising.

I left the group. Can't be arsed with such nonsense.

I was laughing about this to my mom today. Someone in fb complaining how busy the local park was, whilst being at the local park. Irony is completely lost on these people.
