Richard Osman's House of Games on Dave.

Anyone looking for comedy should have a look at one of Illiza Schlesinger on netflix. Her most recent is "Unveiled", about getting married. She's a scream.

Mumwon Family at War used to be my favourite programme in the early 70's. Absolutely brilliant!

For anyone interested, DH and I have just rewatched the whole of Shogun over the past 3 days. Superb mini series and hasn't aged at all despite being 40 years old. When we watched it first time around we had just got married. We celebrate our 41st anniversary in a couple of weeks. 😂

If anyone else would like to watch it - can't recommend highly enough for anyone who enjoys historical drama - just go into Youtube and search "James Clavell Shogun". You won't be disappointed!

Line of duty!!!

Plumpcious · 18/05/2020 23:39

Danger UXB on London Live Freeview channel. The title wasn't enticing but I happened to catch it while channel hopping and it's a really good drama about bomb disposal in London during WW2. Originally broadcast on ITV in 1979. Anthony Andrews in the main role and lots of familiar faces when they were young, eg Kenneth Cranham. High production values and looks realistic 1940s. Don't know why it hasn't been rebroadcast before.

I've stumbled upon a Thai 'boy love' series on Netflix called SOTUS. I love it so hard.

It's terrible but so good.

Dodgy product placement.
Badly translated subtitles.
Cheap set.
Cheap filming.

They're so pretty though!

I didn't realise I was actually this shallow.

Iamamadeupname · 18/05/2020 23:46

Four seasons of Money Heist

Soen · 18/05/2020 23:49

Tiger King. I blame Carol Baskin.

StuckBetweenDarknessAndLight · 18/05/2020 23:52

I'm trying to resist reactivating my Netflix account. I'm getting a bit bored of Taskmaster, which has been my comfort since lockdown begun. Currently binging Normal People, which I probably wouldn't have bothered with under the old normal. I love it. Mary Kills People is next on the list.

ilovecardigans · 19/05/2020 00:07

GameFace on All4. Roisin Conaty is so bloody talented.

species5618 · 19/05/2020 00:44

The good. Upload on Amazon Prime. Set in the near future where you can choose to upload your conscious to a virtual reality when you're about to die. Thought provoking, witty and slyly humorous with a bit of romance and some sort of plot going on in the background.

The bad. Homes Under the hammer, I watch it instead of the news now.

Destinysdaughter · 19/05/2020 00:48

Loving Call My Agent on Netflix. It's about a talent agency in Paris and is very entertaining ( is in French with subtitles)

JollyHostess · 19/05/2020 00:48

Oh yes I just watched Upload too, it was great!

And Dinnerladies. Pure comfort viewing, that.

AllsortsofAwkward · 19/05/2020 00:51

Another for The Last Kingdom, I binged watched 2 seasons of Dead to Me. I also binged watch unorthodux.

Wewearpinkonwednesdays · 19/05/2020 00:55

I watched the whole Vicar of Dibley. Used to watch that with my mum when I was younger, it was great.

Killing Eve, also great.
The Witcher is brilliant, but I watched that a while ago.

On Amazon, Good Omens is very good, and Carnival Row.

Wewearpinkonwednesdays · 19/05/2020 00:57

Oh, and a programme I watched years ago called Dead like me. I researched that a while ago.

Durgasarrow · 19/05/2020 03:18
