I know this should be under health but I’m hoping for more traffic. Has anyone been able to get rid of it completely without it dragging on for over a year.? I have loceryl off the doctor but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I’m so fed up of it.

I put vick vapour rub on mine two weeks ago and I think its working. It's gone from a yellow colour to a dark brown so I think I've killed it off!

I had both big toes completely covered, & marks on all the other toes,
I made a mixture in an egg cup of 1 teasp. soda bic & enough natural apple cider vinegar to make a thick fizzing paste. Smear on fast & really scrubbed the nail with the spoon & all round the edges, pushing the paste into the edges with the spoon. (Not gently) I then left this on. wiping off the excess roughly.
I would do this about once or twice a week
The new nails grew out without the fungus.
I had previously tried various shop bought & one from dermato. I am cured

I bought a new bottle of apple cider vinegar only yesterday, I'm going to give this one a try

I think mine has gone, using tea tree oil.

I filed as much off as I could, using the nail file flat on my toenail to make it thinner IYSWIM.
I had an old half full thing of nail oil. I mixed this with about 1/4 tea tree to nail oil. Put it on twice a day. It has a handy brush. I was generous with it.

After about three months I got bored but it seems to have gone.

I got rid of mine with tea tree oil based treatment, can’t remember which one I got but it came with a dropper and a little brush so you could get it in behind the nail. It’s never come back since. Best of luck!

Vics is working for me. Covered the nail with it before bed every night and then covered with micropore tape. Use a file to try and get through the thickness of the nail, also used to dig underneath. My nail quickly lifted and came off and now I'm just waiting for it to grow back which is slow. Am still using Vics occasionally just in case.

Have sorted mine with the lock down. Tea tree oil everyday with a cotton bud, just cut the last of it off. You need to let the nail grow out which is a pain though

Chiropodist told me only tablets work but you won’t be given any unless it’s really serious. As mentioned, she said topical applications won’t work.

I had one for years, the nail fell off Blush and it came back as it grew back in... so I went, right... time to go.
It was gone in about 10months ish...

I used anti fungal nail polish which lasted about 2-3 days per coat (it’s not very hard wearing) when the polish wore off I’d file it down a bit, apply tiger balm or vapour rub if I didn’t have the tiger balm. Then leave for an hour and re apply the nail varnish... it started growing out after about six weeks but with regular cutting took about 10 months to be complete

One winter solstice I started coming down with a grotty cold, so I bought some zinc & vitamin C lozenges. Carried on taking them one a day after the cold cleared up. By about mid-feb I noticed that my long standing fungal toenail was starting to clear up at the base.
