What's the most dangerous situation you've ever put yourself in?

Got involved with a few unsavoury men through online dating. Luckily sussed them out and binned them off before things got too serious.

I once walked home over four miles at 2am through one of the roughest areas round here. A man out walking a dog stopped me to talk. It shit me up but he was nice, he just couldn't sleep so took rover out.

The most dangerous? I have no idea, but I know I had a few lucky escapes. Taking drugs with people I barely knew, being drunk and going home with strangers, walking around alone in the dark, being mugged on a dark street and repeatedly hit (thank god the guy didn't have a knife or I'd be dead), hitch hiking long distances on my own or with a friend when I was a teenager, driving drunk on icy mountain roads, skiing in an avalanche-prone off-piste area after heavy snow ... all fucking stupid. I'm lucky I didn't get raped or kill myself.

When I was a teenager I met up with a bloke I’d met online without telling anyone where I was. Thankfully nothing bad happened, but I would slap myself now for being so silly!

@GunungBatur It wasn't the sunrise trek up Mount Batur in Bali by any chance (your username)... I am going next year and this is (although may now remove it) on my to do list!!
