day two odd jogging experience

So yesterday I got yelled at by a woman for going near her whilst going out for a jog. I was at least 5 metres away. I thought I'd go at a different time today to avoid seeing her again (in case she always walks in the afternoons). I was jogging on a path and a couple with their dog were walking straight down the middle of it. They say me and made no attempt to move to the side as I had d one. Because of this I had to go into the trees to maintain a good distance. That was mildly annoying. But then their dog started barking at me and ran up to me and kept jumping up at me. It was big dog. The owners made no attempt to stop it and just carried on, even though they had seen what had happened. What is with people? Should they not have apologised? Or at least called their dog back?

That's bad luck OP! Hope it gets better. You already saw they were ignorant though for not moving, not a surprise they were lousy sog owners too.

Sadly some people think the world evolves around them and this pandemic has only highlighted it more!

Did you tell them to recall their ill-trained mutt? Not that you should have to, obviously, I’d be mortified if my dog did this (mine are trained). I’d take a photo and tell them I’m reporting them, Dangerous dogs act etc. That could have been terrifying for anyone who’s scared of dogs.

It's sad when you get the odd dick who doesn't bother to train their dog, and then it puts people off dogs generally which isn't fair.
