To rent my holiday apartment to workers

I have a holiday apartment in a medium sized town. I had closed it for lockdown and refunded all guests. Booking.com had closed my listing on their site until 9th May based on Government request and said if the Government requested them to close it for further then they would. The first I knew that it had gone live again was that I got a notification that I had a 4 night booking for next week. People requiring accommodation for work. I desperately need the money, but I don't know what is allowed. Obviously holidays are now permitted, but AIBU to accept a booking for workers? (I think it is construction workers if that makes a difference)

I think it’s a bit of a free for all now. Nobody really knows what’s going on. Sure, go ahead.

We are renting ours to a key worker with documentation, on a rolling weekly basis, at a reduced rate. Seems fair to us and we are glad to have the documentation in case anyone objects. Keeps it ticking over and helps this guy out.

If people are allowed to work and need accommodation I can't see the problem. Hotels are still open, my friend's dh stays in one when he's on shift, he works in importing as has been working throughout. I guess you'll need to take extra precautions with cleaning it after their stay.

Go for it.

My business uses contractors who come and work for a few weeks at a time every few years and they need somewhere to stay.

We produce food so it's pretty essential although they're probably classed as construction workers.

If I owned a holiday apartment and workers wanted to book I would say Yes , under these circumstances .

Really glad to hear your views as I was feeling a little guilty about the booking even though logically it can be done very safely.

I booked a holiday apartment in Brighton for one of our nurses. This was near the beginning when everywhere was shut. It was an absolute life saver!

We were given a reduced rate also. That was fab but not at all expected. She got to say in a lux apartment for less than a Premier Inn.

I had offered the apartment to the local hospital over the whole of lockdown, but they didn't need it. Just not sure if I will be judged locally for renting it to people who are not key workers.
