Furlough question

Sorry not AIBU, but could someone answer a question for me please?
If you are furloughed, can you work for your employers a couple of days per week?

I know that wasn’t the question sorry but not all workers are furloughed because they have no work to do, some companies are using the scheme to boost profits.

You can do training or studying though - is there any chance he could be doing that?

In fairness it's not to make a profit (we're non profit) - it's to reduce expenditure whilst money not coming in to retain the overall business. (I haven't put that well).

In my case it was a decision made by accountants. I provide value in a different way. I did have lots to do which would have been worthwhile long term. But I suppose they think it can be picked up later..,.

@geekone Yep. A bit. It really hurt a couple of weeks ago. I was coming to the culmination of a 3 year project. And it does make you feel undervalued. 8 weeks off though so a bit Grin
