If nurseries/schools open on 1st June will you be sending your child?

My son is 2 and has autism, before lockdown he was signed up to a small special needs nursery (12 children). He was due to start and then the pandemic hit.

I've heard from the nursery today who say they'll be reopening on 1st June all being well.

Due to the young age of the kids and the fact they all have SEN I think social distancing will be nigh on impossible.

I'm conflicted and would appreciate some input before I make my decision.

Are you sending yours?
Would you send DS if you were me?

YANBU - Yes you would send the DC
YABU - No you wouldn't

No. I have a reception and a year 1 child. It's too soon. There isn't enough evidence to solidly say that children aren't asymptomatic carriers. I don't want my children to be guinea pigs for the rest of the school.

If they can't hug their family members, it's too soon to go back to school.

I've recieved a very similar email today OP- same safety measures etc- but it just feels rushed to me....they need us to confirm by Friday, so I assume they'll be wanting to charge straight away also (being that it's a month in advance)...I just dont feel ready to commit when everything is still so hazy and so many Teachers are anti this right now, yet the nursery seems all for it??

Something just doesn't sit right with me...
