For being so angry about this?

I have lived with my flat mate for just over a year and have lived in perfect harmony. We get on fine, we respect each other's space and privacy etc and of course split the bills down the middle, although he pays slightly higher rent for the bigger room. We have never had any issues.

About 6 months ago he met a woman who is really nice and naturally they started spending a lot of time together. She was definitely in the flat a lot but it didn't bother me as I was always busy either working or socialising.

Since lockdown though she has basically moved in, they go between our flat and her flat, 2 weeks at our flat then maybe 5 days at hers the back again. She is constantly there. We are all wfh and it's quite a small flat so impossible to have three people working in the living room so I have to sit in my bedroom on my bed to do calls and complete work which I don't believe is healthy.

Most nights they take over the living room, I don't mind going to my room and giving them space but sometimes it would be nice to have the living room. Whenever I get the opportunity, they always come in to the living room and sit down with me and start asking me lots of questions about the program I am watching.

The thing that upsets me most is the fact that she's basically moved in hasn't even been acknowledged by my flat mate. I'm starting to get quite snappy and it's as if they don't even notice something is up.

Additionally, she does her washing here, showers, cooks and pays nothing although she's unofficially moved in.

My question here is how to broach the subject? I was going to text him when they go to her flat just so he has a couple days to digest but I'm not sure what to say. I also just wanted to check that I was within my right to say something at all.

I just want to make clear the problem is not the woman, she's lovely, it's the lack of respect though of it not even being discussed with me.

Thanks.

Yes. I'd be annoyed too. You need a discussion and she should, at least, pay her way.

Don't text. It's coward. Just wait until you all there and just start with 'hi guys, I think it's time we have a chat. X I think you're great and don't mind you being here but.....'
