Just that really, would you go and work I a care home at the moment. I was a self employed cleaner. No work since March, am thinking of taking a job in the kitchen of a care home. Would you?

Yes I would. I have done it in the past and pre covid hardly anyone came in the kitchen. It was a health and safety precaution in the good old days let alone now.

Yes I would if there was a good infection control plan in place. You need to wear a kitchen overcost which the home should launder, have no contact with residents. Keep distance from the staff like a pp said the staff must not use the kitchen. If you are changing water jugs take them on a trolley and the staff can put them into rooms and you wear gloves. There us usually a separate entrance in the kitchen to use. Any deliveries must be stored safely. I would expect the manager and chef to have a detailed health and safety plan in place.
