To go see my parents?

I've got to drive shortly, to pick my eldest 2 children up from their dads. The journey is an hour each way.
My parents live in the same vilage. Would I be unfair, to go and have a chat with them? I would sit in the car on the drive and they would sit by their French doors, so we will be social distancing.
Am I wrong to do this?

I think this is fine, I'm sure the chat will do you all some good and boost your spirits.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 10/05/2020 18:20

Yes, enjoy.

Mustbetimeforachange · 10/05/2020 18:21

Of course you should. Everyone needs to risk assess. You are going there anyway & you aren't putting anyone in danger. It's common sense.

averythinline · 10/05/2020 18:22

As you are going there anyway I would and stand clear

hauntedvagina · 10/05/2020 18:24

Do it. I'm lucky that my parents live within walking distance, I've made sure that our daily walk takes us past their house and have stopped for a chat on the drive at least three times a week.

DamnYankee · 10/05/2020 18:31

At a safe distance.

Greggers2017 · 10/05/2020 18:47

@DamnYankee I'm not planning to get out of the car. I can pull up on their drive and they will open their French windows to talk to me

@Greggers2017

I'm teasing. Have a great time!

Greggers2017 · 10/05/2020 22:15

It was great. Really helped to lighten my mood. If people can do it, I recommend it
