To think this is the end for charity shops?

I mean is it? I love charity shops, nearly everything I own is second hand, from car boot sales, charity shops etc etc . But the thought of a rummage now makes me feel a bit bleeeurghh. Anyone else?
Given that in some of our towns the high streets are just alternate vape shop/ nail bar /charity shops, what will happen?
Who would want to work in such an environment anyway after this, especially when most staff are volunteers ?

I know the last workfare scheme collapsed amid litigation (and thanks to a boycott) but I'm not particularly reassured as long as conditionality remains a part of UC.

My DH has had a message from his area manager on WhatsApp, he wont know much more until he off furlough but there are going to be a lot of changes how his charity is going to be processing donations, people who think they are going to be able to go to his charity shops with 20 black bags at 9am 1st June (or when they are allowed to reopen) are going to be disappointed because that wont be happening I would imagine a lot of the high street charity shops are going to be the same, the health and safety of their staff and volunteers are going to be more important than walk in donations and a lot will get their stock from other sources like central clothing depots
