Aibu to ask whether I should chop off those curly bits sticking out on the side and tidy the back up once lockdown is over?

I don't have an opinion about his hair, just wanted to say how gorgeous he is 🙂

DonnaDarko · 09/05/2020 09:20

My son is nearly 4 and has never had a haircut. he has the most glorious afro.

I'm going to tidy it up a bit before school but I'm not going to cut it too much cos it suits him.

ElectricTonight · 09/05/2020 09:23

Oh bless him !
I would.

Ginfordinner · 09/05/2020 09:27

He is utterly gorgeous.

Personally, I don't get the angst about a baby's first haircut. The weather is getting warmer and it will just be a straggly, sweaty mess if you leave it. I just don't see a haircut as a milestone.

DD had a good head of hair - even at 9 months her hair looked like that of a little girl, not a baby.

Oh my word those eyes!! He’s absolutely beautiful, as are his little curls. I wouldn’t cut it. If you do cut it I would save some tied in a ribbon. I did that with my daughter’s curly baby hair. It’s a precious memory.

coffeecoffeegoose · 09/05/2020 09:58

I just had to contribute to say how truly adorable your child is! Also, leave the curls :)

LoisLittsLover · 09/05/2020 10:04

I would cut it because I think hair like that tends to get sweaty looking and quite uncomfortable when it gets warm

WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo · 09/05/2020 10:06

Those Chubb rolls 😍😍😍

MsChatterbox · 09/05/2020 10:08

No don't do it!

MsChatterbox · 09/05/2020 10:09

Posted too soon - don't do it! He still looks like a baby. Maybe re-evaluate in about 6 months.

CastleCrasher · 09/05/2020 10:20

He's gorgeous. Does his hair bother him, it does he like it long? Ds is nearly 3 and has gorgeous long curls halfway down his back. It's significantly longer than his sister's, and he loves it, so it's staying for the foreseeable. If/When it starts to bother him I'll cut it, but am in no rush, I love it too (and am more than a little jealous of how it just sits perfectly with zero effort!Grin)

My ds is 3 next month and I’ve never cut his hair. He has really curly locks. He wants to keep his curls he tells me!

Hes gorgeous and looks fine but a trim would make him look older. Are you ready for that? Grin

Ginfordinner · 09/05/2020 11:29

Why do people have a problem with cutting their babies' hair. Why is it a problem if it makes them look a little older?

I don't get it at all.
