Sigh. 4months PP with dc2. Two stone overweight I reckon thanks to a hard pregnancy and it's finally happened. I'm tucking a saggy apron in to gargantuan pants.

How the hell do you get rid of this thing??? I've lost 6lbs in two and half weeks by walking the pushchair and not eating crap (in lockdown I expect a medal for this) and my legs and arms are really thanking me for it. But my apron belly still looks like a pork shoulder joint has been velcroed to me but the butcher forgot to use string Sad.

Pretty limited with a two year old and a 4mo with what I can do here.

Am I being a fool for even trying right now and should just accept my fate and order some more granny pants.... Anyone else contemplating whether this is just an added misery right now??

I'm glad you liked it! I can't remember what inspired me to start telling the children to love my wobbly tummy, but I reckon it made me life so much better. And I'm hopeful it had an effect on how my daughters will view their own bodies in the future.
We are so strong and powerful and our bodies can do so much. We should be proud of them in all their wobbly glory!
In more practical terms, post natal pilates was also very helpful to me in terms of managing my pelvic floor and working on diastasis thingummy.

I'm 52, have had three pregnancies, two full term, youngest is 20. The belly pouch is still there (no C-sections). Since delivering I've been everything between 8st and 10st and usually hover 8st 10 - 9st 3. I run, I use the cross trainer, I do weights, floor work etc. The belly pouch is always there.

Sorry to rain on the parade, but don't want to raise false hopes either. Sometimes you just have to learn to live with the way your body has changed.

Yes I think I may need to admit it may never go completely but losing weight will definitely help my self esteem right now. I tried some diastasis pilates this morning, it was only 8 minute long routine, seems awfully short. Can this be coupled with some squats, bicep curls etc? I do walk for an hour or so each day, and appreciate I may need to do pilates for a few months but it doesnt seem to feel very physical for weight loss iyswim
