Did you get the NHS text without being vulnerable?

I recieved the NHS text this morning telling me I have been identified as someone who may become seriously ill should I catch it. Though, to my knowledge, I have no health conditions that put me at more of a risk?

I'm wondering if anyone else got one who wasn't expecting it?

I did call my GP who said they will call back next week to let me know once they've looked into it.

I got the text, too. I’m a bit more vulnerable due to immunosuppressant medication but the consultant has said I don’t need to isolate at home. On the other hand, I got a text from the GP yesterday apologising for all of the random texts they’ve been sending out lately

Yes I had one this morning. I don't think I'm vulnerable but had breast cancer 5 years ago. I'm waiting for a GP callback but reception said they'd had a load of calls today and were getting the GPs to discuss it with the patients. I got the impression they think it's a mass mistake!

I received one too, I don’t have any illness to make me vulnerable but my 8 year old has asthma but I didn’t think he was in the extremely vulnerable group, I called gp receptionist who said that it is probably for my son. But wondering now after reading this if it’s a mistake?

Be careful as there’s some scam messages going round.

Summerfalls · 07/05/2020 14:36

I thought it was a scam message at first but it had direct links government website to register and phone number to register and said a letter would be sent out.

My son had one. He's 12 and has no conditions at all. He also doesn't have his phone number registered at the doctors, as they would use mine.

So I can only assume his phone number is one that a vulnerable person used to use and it's been reissued but they didn't change their number at their GP

Are you an unpaid carer? On the 4th May the Government included unpaid carers as essential workers who can be prioritised for Covid-19 testing.

My partner had a call to say he was high risk yet had already had a hospital letter which classified his medication as moderate risk. Its all a bit hit and miss I think.

I'm pregnant, have an autoimmune disease, am on immune system suppressing medication which have caused gestational diabetes, and i didnt get the text.

I got one nearly 5 weeks into the lockdown, and to be honest,I'm a bit puzzled as to why. Admittedly,I DO have health problems, but neither of them are listed in the conditions that put you at risk. I have rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, for which I take strong NSAIDS (non steroidal anti-inflamatories) and am not on any other treatment for it,no immunosupressant drugs or steroids. I also have fibromyalgia. Does anyone on here know whether either of these conditions would make me be considered as very vulnerable? I certainly don't FEEL vulnerable,I can't remember the last time I had a cold and rarely catch any of the 'nasties' doing the rounds.

Sorry, meant to add that I live alone so I know that it wasn't aimed at someone else in my household.
