Shouty McShoutface

I live in a quiet area where most of the residents are in their 60s/70s. (This is relevant) There is a small green in front of our house and a large park behind.
People are following the social distancing by staying more than 2m apart. But this means that they are roaring their conversations to each other. I am so sick of the shouting!!! 3 of our garden walls back onto the park and the walkway is about 100 yards from our garden but I am now surrounded by elderly people roaring to each other all day long.

One neighbour is quite active and seems to be loving all the CV gossip. She stands shouting at anyone she meets in the street. I am struggling with hearing her voice whenever we are outside. With the lovely weather I can’t even leave windows open in the evening as Shouty McShoutface is out stalking the streets from 5-8pm looking for people to roar at.

I know IABU but I feel better for that rant. Would IBU to roar back and join in their conversations each time so they realise how loud they are?!

Only if the roar back is something like (e.g if talking about sue’s garden) “my 6 month old daughter thinks Sues garden might be a lovely place to try and sleep as it’s too loud in hers”.

Shouty is out doing her rounds right now. Her poor little dog must have an awful headache from being dragged around with her.
