Does this mean you have a temperature/fever or not?

My average normal temperature on the thermometer is 35.4-36, tonight it’s been 36.6 at its highest, although has varied but not below 36. I also feel flushed and hot.
This number isn’t classed as a fever, but because it’s higher than my average temp, would you class it as one?
Pretty bad health anxiety at the mo and this isn’t helping.
It’s also been a hot day today, might sound daft, but does that have an influence? And being stressed/anxious too?

35.4? I think you need a more accurate thermometer tbh, And no, that would not be classed as a fever.

Do you feel well otherwise?

36.6 is fine. Most people run a little low and it will vary by activity, time of day, etc. You do not have a fever.

Flushing is simply your nervous system causing your capillaries to widen.

I thought a temperature was about 37.5 and above ?

Confusedasusual78 · 03/05/2020 23:02

A temperature is classed as higher but because mine is normally lower and I feel hot, I wondered if that technically meant my body had a slight fever as it is higher than average?
On our digital one it’s generally 35 point something to 36 and 36 on the traditional thermometer.
I’ve been feeling hayfever/sinus symptoms and headache/sore throat on and off for ages now.
