I suppose we technically live in a suburb but it's surrounded by woods and a valley so it's fairly quiet and even when people are out at the weekend it's very easy to keep a distance.
When lockdown first began I followed the guidance that recommended only going outside once a day to exercise, but I live in the South West where we have pretty low levels of the virus and as above it's easy to keep a distance so the last week or so I have started going out more than once. I took my toddler out for a walk this morning and I am about to go for a run in the park (the bit where I run in the park is a large grassy area so easy-peasy to keep away from people).
I get why the once a day guidance makes sense for London and crowded areas but it doesn't seem necessary here.
AIBU? I'm normally a stickler for rules but now I'm following the law and trying to apply my own common sense as far as the guidance goes, especially as it looks like this is a long-term thing and I am trying to lose some weight to improve my odds against the virus.
Needless to say, if I did go out and it was difficult to distance I'd just go home, although to be frank I can't imagine that happening here because there aren't enough people.
