Where to get rid of DVD's

I have loads of old dvds that we no longer need thanks to Netflix.

Anyone know anywhere I can get rid of them? Are music magpie etc still worth bothering with? How much would I be likely to get for say 50 dvds? Thanks x

Take them to your nearest CEX shop when open . They'll give you money on the spot.

It's usually pennies at Music Magpie - I sold some not long ago, think the highest priced one was 14p! It gets them out of the way though...

I gave all mine to a charity shop.

Does your local hospital take them? When we got rid of all ours they very happily took them so that patients could watch them.

Obviously you might have to save them for a while to give them to a hospital or charity.

Thanks I would usually take them to charity but obviously they're all shut and I really want them out the way, nowhere to store really. That's why I thought about somewhere I can post them off to. But for pennies it might not be worth it.

Some supermarket carparks have recycle bins for CDs and books. Not sure how you'd find out if any near to you though.

Post on your local Facebook page. Ours have books, puzzles and DVDs that are given away to locals if the want them.

Music magpie, although was offering pennies for most of them.
I’d ended up giving them to charity shop, which isn’t very helpful at the moment.

Try here, OP, I did with my grandchildren as an activity during lockdown. They loved punching the numbers and watching the pennies go up. But we had loads of the buggers in the loft as did Kyle daughter.

We received £96 which we then donated to a local charity.
