Phoebe Buffay is the worst friends character. She is not kooky, she’s mean, selfish and always looking for ways to put the other friends down. Everyone is too busy hating Ross to realise Phoebe is a cock. I will die on this hill.

The Nissan Juke is quite possibly the ugliest vehicle ever manufactured.

It’s bad. But I give you the fiat multipla.

Although, at least the multipla is spacious to make up for the ugliness. The juke is an anti-tardis; it looks like it should be a reasonable size but it’s teeny tiny.

I agree that jelly does not feature in a classic trifle recipe. But

a) it makes a nice solid platform for the custard
B) it makes a very satisfying noise when you first serve it.

Confidence is an overrated virtue. Doing something successfully isn't always 'all a matter of confidence'. Sometimes people are just not very good at certain things. And that's fine.

The Oscars are no indication that a film is any good. Usually an Oscar means it's a worthy but miserable/dull as fuck watch.

Oh, re. SPAG. English spelling is archaic and should be standardised. One of my DC can't spell (or, rather, spells logically). The endless learning of nonsense spellings is such a random priority for our society.

Sometimes clarity takes precedence. Their/there and the like can be left alone. Four/forty, the 's' in island and (sorry PP) the 'h' in yoghurt should be condemned.

People who say "my DC is addicted to the xbox, how do I get them outside?" like it's some mystical answer they can't comprehend. You're a grown adult - take charge!

During lockdown a few of the parents I know have moaned on social media that their DC aren't doing anything except play online, but won't actually do anything to stop their DC spending 17 hours on the xbox. Just use your magical fingers and switch it off!

It is relatively easy to stop your DCs from doing something (spending hours on the Xbox). Harder to physically make them go out!

People who judge other people on SPAG are supercilious idiots. I have excellent SPAG skills (I've had it tested ) but being fussy about it would just mean I missed out on some good friendships.

I love how my mum and dads house smells. Hate how my sister in laws house smells. But they have a dog, so i put it down to that. It’s an individual thing

My sisters smells of simple soap bit she doesn’t use it. I think it must be her laundry detergent. Ours always smells of cooking. Fine if it’s not fish 🤭
