AIBU to get annoyed with my neighbours having sex

Ok, I know, it's a natural thing, we all do it, but it's getting right on my nerves listening to the headboard banging off my wall constantly. Every night this week my baby has been woken up around 10pm as it is really loud! Surely they can put a cushion behind the headboard?? We live in a block of flats and it's that loud that the downstair neighbour (we are on the 3rd floor) is getting annoyed as well.

You could put Boombastic on repeat. Or anything by Marvin Gaye.

Or srick a note through the door inviting them to swing

The house next door is flats. Our living room is next to the downstairs flat bedroom. The place has a high turnover of tenants usually. We had some loud shaggers there once and they used to do it during the day. I remember DS1 being little and asking me what the neighbours were doing as it sounded loud and shouty 😫 Luckily they moved after a few months.

Play Je T'aime as background music Grin

Post a note each time, critiquing their performance and giving a 1-5* rating.

There is absolutely no need for that level of noise, how extremely inconsiderate. Usually these kind of people are a bit dim and lacking in the IQ department.
How revolting that their 14 year old has to listen to that, poor child.

stopped me getting so irritated about ndns TV

Talk to other neighbours and organise a coordinated note drop.

Lightofthephoenix · 04/05/2020 00:17

Or anything by Marvin Gaye

"Let's get it on"

Why don't you have a friendly chat. Just say it's a bit awkward but the walls are very thin. Have you considered moving the bed away from the wall or putting a cushion behind. Come at it from the angle of saving their blushes

Oh god, my Nextdoor neighbour is a performance shagger, she sounds like she’s faking reruns of the porn channel.
Not particularly pleasant at 8.30 in the evening when I’m watching telly with my dd.
They know we can hear them, they are just inconsiderate areseholes ( when not noisy sagging they are on local Facebook pages pretending to be the nicest people in the world, I fucking hate them)

Onemorefuck · 04/05/2020 00:30

Tbh these neighbours sound like my old ones. They didn’t give a shit that someone could hear them. They didn’t give a shit that they woke people up with their headboard.

A note through the door didn’t help us OP. tbh nothing really did. I know that doesn’t help your predicament.
