Revolting I know but it’s ingrowing and getting worse. I have found some torturous looking tool online like a clamp to lift it but it looks vile. Has anyone used the Dr Scholl treatment?

You need a podiatrist. I think some are open?

I’d try easing it out myself after a bath and do it a bit more every day. I had toe nails start to in grow and have righted them myself.

I used to have a 30 min soak of the toe / foot in salt water as hot as you could bear and ease out the nail at the end of each soak. After about 4/5 days the pain and inflammation died away and it started to grow normally

This sort of thing is easy peasy for an HCPC registered podiatrist to sort out. We are open ... sort of. Our professional body advises us to see emergencies only in clinic just now. That said, there a lot that can be helped over a video appointment!

Wow! Didn’t think anyone would be open. My feet get dealt with twice a year hsgally before longer “races” I’m a plodder- definitely not a proper runner!) and that keeps them ok but one big toe did need an op and they took a third of nail bed away and it’s great now. Think the other one if jealous ! I’ll try a bath- any excuse and see if I can pop it out and see if my guy is open. Hes lovely too. Might be nice to talk to someone else but I feel bad that my toe doesn’t warrant risk Thanks all

Usually that should say. I sound like a running wanker but I’m not , mainly because I’m a bit crap! Not been for a single run since lockdown, preferring instead the quick hit of the knee shattering Joe Wicks !

Good plan - your usual podiatrist is probably about. They’ll know your history and may well be able to help over the phone.
