To wonder why I don’t have masses of spare time like everyone else?

This I slightly lighthearted but... Everyone seems to be complaining about having lots of spare time with nothing to do during lockdown. I must be doing something wrong as I am not finding this at all. I am wfh and am a lone parent with young teen dd. So when I am not working I seem to be spending a lot of time preparing food, tidying up, etc. Go out in the evening to exercise. Spend a bit of time helping dd with her school work (she gets on with it herself but I think it’s good to keep an eye on what she is doing). I seem to be doing more housework (even with some help from dd) and don’t actually have masses of spare time.

I haven't seen anyone complaining about haven't loads of spare time. Obviously you are going to have less spare time than people that are furloughed and not working.
My days haven't changed that much as although I am working from home I lived very close to the office so I don't save much time there. Things I find easier is I can pop a wash on and hang it out at lunch etc. I do have time to have a hours exercise of a evening where as before lockdown my evenings were spent ferrying the kids around.
I don't work weekends so have more free time then as again all the children's activities have been cancelled.

I'm wfh and doing more cooking and cleaning than usual (as we're all eating every meal at home and the cleaner isn't coming). But I do still find myself with more spare time that normal. I guess it's the time I would be spending commuting, socialising and taking the DC to their after school / weekend activities.

I have a toddler. What’s this spare time you speak of?

I don't have masses of spare time, but I do have more. I am working from home, so no longer have a commute (60-90minutes all in) and work are strict on us only doing our 7.5 hours. That gives me a lot more time in the evening. Then no where to go so time to do things around the house and garden.

I’m wfh and have never been busier. Trying to fit in work which is very busy, sorting dc out and making sure they’re doing school work,Sad extra cooking and cleaning I’m literally on the go all day. I even had a little cry yesterday as I felt so overwhelmedSad

I have no spare free time with OP but I do have a baby, 3 and 6 year old so I'm cooking and cleaning much more than usual and if not doing that then I'm meal planning, ordering toys, shopping or homeschooling. I suppose you'd only have a lot more free time if you are working less than normal and/or don't have young kids. I can't even think about what I'd do with the time, it's too painful!

I don't have any spare time either. In fact I've been busier since lock down than before as I'm also spending 3 hours a day tutoring my dd as well as all the household/cooking jobs. I thought i was going to have loads of time free to do those boring time consuming jobs that I never get round to, like weeding the front garden or sorting out junk cupboards, but no...the weeds are about 6 foot high and the stuff is still falling out of the cupboards every time I open the door.
