The other night I had to drive through my childhood village to get to my aunts and drop her some shopping off on her path.

There is an old phonebox on a green in the middle of a semi circular housing arrangement.

As I was approaching I saw somebody stood just inside of it noting to myself that it was odd as it hadn't worked in years and we used to play in it as children. When I looked in my rear view mirror there was nobody there and I had tingles up my neck.

I love anything like that so would love to hear some experiences.

Ooh I love a good woo thread.
There's a country road near us and I've seen a figure standing on the bend several times now, but they are gone when you get there. My friend refuses to drive that way at night, apparently it's well known to be haunted.

@ScorpionQueen we have a road like that near us which I used to drive down after doing nursing until the early hours. I always wanted to get through it as quickly as possible on cold, dark nights. It has no houses just trees and woods for a good 3 miles. Always gave me the creeps and lots of stories of people being seen and quickly disappearing!

The other night we were stargazing, hoping to see some of the meteor shower. I was watching satellites moving about when I saw what I thought was a shooting star moving fast but then it did this weird wibble, changed direction and disappeared.

It was over in a second and of course no one else saw it. I don't know what I saw but it wasnt a shooting star I don't think.

I don't, well didn't, not so sure now believe in anything woo but two days after my dad died I had to go to a job interview which I was very stressed about because I wanted it so much but was not in a good frame of mind . On the way there was a lot of flooding on the roads and I was having to try multiple ways to get there, I was on the verge of tears and giving up and going home, obviously my dad dying meant I was more sensitive. As I was about to lose it completely a small white feather drifted past my window (thank you Dad 💖) and I inexplicably felt very calm and went to the interview which went very well, two months on and taking the job was the best decision despite the difficult personal timing. I might have just outed myself as I recently told somebody this IRL.

I used to run a 17th centuary pub in a small village. It was a typical chocolate box type of country pub and we had rooms downstairs in which the bar stretched the full length. You went from the large main room down 3 steps to the pool room. On a tea time a family used to come in for a quick drink before dinner and with their 3 small children pop and crisps. Every day at 5pm they came in where their dad headed straight to our wall mounted juke box.Invairiably his 3 kids went with him as it was neon and a big statement piece of the pub. He,the dad ususally had one child in his arms as he put money in and chose his songs. And every single time a ball of mist decended. The children used to try and catch the floating cloud of mist with their hands and laugh gleefully, and I mean really giggle and laugh at the mist. The mist blocked the view from one end of the pub to the other ,you couldnt see round it or through it. The kids said and they were all under years old that the little boy had come to play with them. It was very odd and it disappeared within 5 mins of arriving. It never happened any other time and there was no fear it all felt really calm.Never seen anything like it before or since.Just odd...

How strange @WaktiWapnasi my grandad swears blind he saw a cigar shaped light move bizarrely in the sky from the balcony on a holiday to Florida!

@Sallycinammonbangsthedruminthe now that is spooky! It seems a lot of pubs have stories of being haunted, I couldn't work in one myself!
