To just want to share my good news :)

I know this isn't an aibu but I wanted to share this with someone who isn't family as we are all in lock down.

I am expecting our 3rd child (and last!) and it has been a difficult road to get here but we had an anomaly scan and all is healthy which is a massive relief.

But surprise surprise, we also found out that I am expecting a baby girl!!!!! I am so happy and I was worried how my sons would take it but they are so excited

Just wanted to share my good news. I had no idea how much I wanted to hear something good. I realise that this isn't an aibu thread but if you have good news to share maybe we could share it here? With everything that has been going on,to hear that our much longed for baby is healthy is such a relief.

Fantastic news. I didn't want to know and was convinced and quite happy for another boy.When she was born I asked the midwife to have another look! Girls are quite different but we love her. I haven't seen her for nearly a year she is in lockdown abroad and can't get back but I think she is safer there. I wish you well in the rest of your pregnancy and the birth. It is lovely to hear such wonderful news.

Congratulations! I have 2 boys and then a girl. I did (putting all of my feminist principles to one side) absolutely love dressing her “up” in different clothes to the boys as a baby (the stripey tights ). She’s the toughest nut now with an answer for everything (and utterly resistant to home schooling in a way that her brothers would never dare to be), but we wouldn’t have her any other way. How lovely to have meeting a new baby to look forward to.

Aww congratulations OP! It's really nice to read positive news at this time of gloom. I am also pregnant (baby no.3 and last!) I was never this sick in previous pregnancies with my two boys so have a feeling it might be a girl. Only 12 weeks yet though so will find out soon enough!

Amazing!! I also have a girl after having two boys and the feeling of pure happiness is still with me. It feels like winning the lottery, I always wanted boys but she is exactly what our family needed to be complete. Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

I found out I'm expecting my second 2 weeks ago. Should be due mid December. Was a big shock and took a while to sink in. Cant wait for my scan now.

I have a 3yo DD and the other day she said I was her best friend. Was almost in tears!

Congrats OP. It’s good to read something nice during all of this. We were going to start trying for our third and last (we have two girls) but I’m worried I’d be stupid to try. So broody right now though lol
