AIBU to chase a job application

I submitted an application for an internal job the Thursday before Easter. Last Thursday they came back to me to say that one of the sections hadn't been filled in (this was to do with my line manager as I needed her to endorse it - they had previously said this didn't need to be done because of the current issues and then changed their minds) anyway no issue. She filled it in and it was sent in to them. According to the job description the cut off date was this Monday morning and the interviews would be next Monday. Other than the communication on the Thursday I've heard nothing. Whilst I understand it may be that i haven't got an interview I feel like they should have communicated this to me as an internal candidate.
AIBU to expect them to have let me know a decision by now.
And would I be unreasonable to chase up my application?

If it’s anything like my workplace recruitment has become an absolute nightmare in lockdown - I’m having trouble assessing candidates as I know I’ll only be able to virtually interview them, so it’s a bit more pressure to try and filter down to the “right” candidates.

No harm in a light and breezy follow up. I’d phrase it more around the lines of “if there is any further information you need from me please get in touch” rather than “oi mate get back to me”; which I’m sure you’ll do anyway Grin

@Dyrne thank you. Yes I totally understand that. They did pop on the job description that the interview would be over zoom. And yes totally I won't go in all guns blazing!
I think it's more the fact that they haven't given any indications at all etc. I would've thought if the interview was Monday they would have to get back to people today? Or would you say there would be a chance for tomorrow?

Yes, I'd send a 'bright and breezy' as we call them in my office, too!

If the interviews weren't on Monday, I'd say don't chase yet, but as they are...

@TokyoSushi oh yeah. I wouldn't normally dream of doing it but as the interviews are that close I'm just presuming I haven't got one but feel if that is the case communication from an internal candidate is pretty poor

Yes as interview date is so close I’d say there’s no harm in chasing today.
