Silent treatment

DP insisted on getting a cat, despite me saying I didn't want another after losing three in one year to old age. When she brought the cat home, it was on condition she sees to things like food and litter trays. I love this cat, but he makes a huge mess after scraping in his tray - no big deal, as DP said she would take care of it.

Fast forward a year, DP consistently fails to clean up. She leaves catnip and biscuits all over the conservatory floor, and bits of that plus all the cat litter trailed everywhere.

When I said to her that I resented having to clean things up, she did her usual and asked me if I wanted to rehome him. There's no right answer: I say "no" and she thinks I'll continue to have to clean up the mess, say "yes" and she thinks I'm a monster.

I don't want to rehome him, but I lost patience and told her how manipulative her question was, that she was being lazy and I was the one saddled with cleaning up the mess as usual. We're now on day four of the silent treatment.

WIBU in asking her to hold up her end of the deal? I just want a tidy house.
