To be annoyed by Facebook nominations?

Well, annoyed and puzzled. Lately too many people I know are posting on Facebook things like “over ten days post an album that influenced you, but with no comment”.

Why no comment? Wouldn’t it be about 100 times more interesting to initiate a conversation about these things? Is it to try to cull people’s tastes for the algorithms? Get possible passwords? I don’t see the point (& don’t want to have to be on fb daily when someone nominated me just to post a photo of a 30 year old album).

AIBU? And can someone explain this to me please?

I posted an album cover this morning and wrote why I like it and who introduced me to it and also the memories it brings back. I didn't see the point in posting it otherwise.

The one that pissed me off the most recently is the one that says

Women Empowerment. If I tagged you, please play along. If I didn't tag you, please, no offense. I tried to choose people I thought would make this challenge fun!!
Too often, women find it easier to criticize each other instead of building each other up. With all the negativity out there, let's do something positive! 🌟

Also don’t understand the ‘without Comment’ thing, surely the reason you’ve chosen it is interesting bit.

My particular hate is the motherhood dare. What’s so daring about posting a pic of your DCs.

It is not legally obliging. Scroll past, snooze, unfollow, unfriend - whatever suits you best.

I've been nominated to post 10 albums.

Well I'm sorting them out. There will be more than 10 and I will post the lyrics to a verse or a song for each of them. I won't be nominating anyone else to do it - that's up to them.

I've been nominate for lots of things and never done it because it doesn't interest me. This does BUT I'll do it my own way.
