I’ve booked two afternoons off work this week as I need to break up the working from home week and the weather has been lovely! Smile

I’ll finish at 1pm, do some exercise then sit in the garden with my book for a couple of hours before a large G&T in the sun.

For me, this will be a great afternoon but DH can’t comprehend it and thinks it will be a waste of half a days holiday. He never sits still and every day off work is spent going for a run/cycle, building something, tidying the garden and generally doing jobs that I didn’t even realise existed! He will happily leave me be all afternoon but can’t think why I wouldn’t want to be doing something / anything! Shock

I’m more than happy to clean, do the garden, shopping, DIY at the weekends but annual leave is for nice things - not jobs (in my eyes!)

Surely there are plenty of people like me and many less like him? Wink

My MIL is like your DH and whenever we have time off work she wants to know what we've got planned. She struggles when I say nothing!
