To think I have super black mould and maybe I should sell it to scientist to plant and piss off baddies??

I have black mould on nearly all my window sill silicone bits.

I've used bleach about 20 times in all different quantity mixes and last time was just pure neat bleach and it's not budged at all. I've used different types of black mould remover sprays. It.will.not.go.

Now I think it should be reproduced and planted in the houses of all of my enemy's so they can deal with the frustration too?

I have this. Bleach gets rid. But before long, it's back. Drives me mad.

Put bleach down and then cover it with cotton wool pads. Leave overnight. Works a treat in the bathroom. Not sure about window sills but may be worth a go.

HG mould spray has worked wonders for us. It seems to have something other mould sprays don't. We used it once, about 5 years ago on a bathroom window, no extractor. Haven't had to use it since.

HG mould spray worked for me.

CatOnLaptop · 19/04/2020 12:35

With bleach I've found you have to use it neat and leave it on for several hours. However, it will break down paint as well so be careful of the frames/sills. Might give that HG spray a go next time I need something. Good luck!

Try gel toilet cleaner - it’s too thick to run off. Go for a pale one though, the green or heavily coloured type can stain (which does come off eventually)

Bleach doesn't kill mould..... It bleaches it so you can't see it but doesn't kill any of the spores.

You need an anti fungal.

Take white vinegar (like the type you'd put on your chips) and tea tree oil..... Scrub off the mould to get rid of the majority then saturate with vinegar and tea tree, let dry, repeat.

Clean the area with white vinegar/tea tree. Should help.

Ok what am I doing wrong, I saw this thread when op first posted and ordered the HG stuff, waited ages for it to arrive and tried it today - didn't make a difference at all!!

Is there some sort of trick?

MaggieFS · 05/05/2020 22:04

I have this. It's a pain. I think I'm going to have to remove the silicone and reseal the windows. Nothing works.

Yellowsubmarinedreams · 05/05/2020 22:05

Astonish mould and mildew blaster. Magic stuff. I sprayed my window sealant, soaked a bit of toilet paper in the liquid and squished it in the corners overnight.

CaramelEmporium · 05/05/2020 22:06

Another vote for HG mould spray. Feck knows what’s in it but it works!

Cuddling57 · 05/05/2020 22:07

@RedScarf try spraying then leaving old bits of cotton over it. Or soak the cotton in bleach and leave over it. Overnight.

StillWeRise · 05/05/2020 22:11

I'm the same OP, tried all the things mentioned here and nothing works
But you can replace the silicon, we did that once (or rather someone did it for us, because I'm paranoid about not doing it properly and the water coming through the ceiling Shock)

Ciff mould spray worked in our house. We live in an old cottage and it can creep up the walls if not treated.
