Due to a combination of factors including some delicious cold rosé and a takeaway that took TWO HOURS to arrive last night I drank a whole bottle (and a glass 😳). It was spread across 4 hour plus but I slept badly, and feel sick and headachy this morning.

I’ve got the total hangover horrors or ‘hangxiety’ 😫 help me move on with my day

YABU - there’s no excuse to drink too much, you’re a grown woman goddamit
YANBU - these are crazy times, don’t beat yourself up

It was Mum's funereal yesterday and afterwards me and my sister went back to dad's (judge if you want, I don't care we didn't want him to be alone). Mums favourite tipple when she was well enough was "a nice glass of rosie wine" Grin. Three bottles we finished off. After speaking to my sister this morning both she and I are like extras from Shaun of the dead, dad on the other hand is as chirpy as a blackbird. Mum would be so proud! Grin

Youngatheart00 · 18/04/2020 10:22

@trapped so sorry to hear about your mum. Wakes always call for a lot of booze and no judgement at all for being with your dad. So nice you were able to raise several glasses of your mum’s fave tipple, that’s worth the hangover. Take care.

I’m hanging like a witches tit.

My DH and I got quite a bit tipsy last night which resulted in us waking up 5-6 times in the night to get milk. We were both craving it massively (no idea why, not a normal thing for us) and managed to smash about 6 pints between us.

So, feeling hungover and sick with all the milk curdling in my belly Blush

Washyourhandsyoufilthyanimal · 18/04/2020 10:28

It was one bottle and a full nights sleep, calm down you’re fine.

midnightstar66 · 18/04/2020 10:28

The worrying part is I'm not even getting hangovers from that anymore. Either that or I'm in a constant hangover now so I don't notice the difference. I've had wine every night since the schools closed so have vowed to take a break next week. Apart from anything else our glass collections have stopped, will be drowning in bottles soon!

Youngatheart00 · 18/04/2020 10:30

@Washyourhandsyoufilthyanimal oh I’m plenty calm, just feeling ming and the ‘virtual company’ helps. DH is decidedly unsympathetic and is not hungover despite drinking god knows how many cans of Heineken.

Yes, that bottle of prosecco seemed like a great idea last night! This morning not so much...

AuntieMarys · 18/04/2020 10:32

I don't drink wine anymore as it doesn't make me feel great. I do drink a lot of gin though.

Pricklefish · 18/04/2020 10:36

Feeling very guilty about alcohol consumption too. Just cant manage without at the moment..

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 18/04/2020 10:36

Hahaa YANBU OP

I have been there, got the T Shirt, read the book .

I don't tend to overdrink anymore due to a hangover taking over a day of my life Grin

Fishcakey · 18/04/2020 10:37

I had a bottle and a half of red because I had to stay up until midnight to get a Tesco slot. I am nearly dead. Send help!

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 18/04/2020 10:37

Never drank Gin . I used to dab neat gin on my gums with a toothache though haha It did numb it but not for as long as oil of clove.

MamaJules34 · 18/04/2020 10:40

YANBU

I need this post rn. I'm so hungover after w zoom call with my pals!!!

IceniSky · 18/04/2020 10:41

I feel worse now than earlier. Wont go for a run. Feel so annoyed. I know not to drink a bottle.

Youngatheart00 · 18/04/2020 10:45

Thank you for the solidarity!!! Smile

Reminds me of my younger days when the communal hangover of the uni hall or shared house was almost a treasured part of the process.

Also in the half a hangover and tired camp. Told DH I was going upstairs to sort washing. Have slotted back into bed.

SavageBeauty73 · 18/04/2020 10:48

It's my first Saturday of lockdown without a hangover! I've had some shockers 💩😬

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/04/2020 11:00

My DH drinks whisky and gets up all chirpy and feeds the cats at 6am.

I don't drink (at all) and wake up bleurgh from lack of cafffeine .

So unfair - I reckon the fecker breathes on me ? Hmm
Or is it like twins where one gets hurt and the other one feels it .
Has DH morphed into my twin? Weird .

Sneaky Grin

Blackandgreenteas · 18/04/2020 11:37

I’ve been ill almost the whole of lockdown so I’m quite jealous!

IceniSky · 18/04/2020 13:16

How are you? I feel miserable. Due on so have period pain and also think I have a stomach bug and sent DH out for immodium. At least the only thing I had planned today was cleaning!

cultkid · 18/04/2020 13:18

Have a little glass now it will get rid of it

sauvignonblancplz · 18/04/2020 13:23

Yep .... I definitely can’t hack it . Had great intentions do ‘do’ today. Eughhhhh

Youngatheart00 · 18/04/2020 13:26

Just had a nap and a shower and just about feel human again! Got to brave the supermarket (😫 if it were just me I’d leave it but I also help an elderly neighbour out) so I might just be able to face a G&T when I’m back!!

Two weeks ago I got drunk on Friday night, as I did last night.

I've had coronavirus in between, and the hangover is seven million times worse exactly. Took me four hours to summon the energy to go back to bed, and now I'm too tired to sleep.
