What is the most unreasonable? Chocolate biscuits or crisps?

I seem to be coping with lockdown with small children by eating lots of snacks. So if it going to be bad, is savoury any better for me? Some crisps are potatoes vegetables, some snack ones more wheat obviously. Or are 20 biscuits just as bad as multiple packets of crisps ? I seem to be one of the other ? And yes I do need to loose some weightBlush

It is well known that broken biscuits don't count as calories

This is true. Breaking causes the calories to leak out.

Chocolate covered nuts are quite virtuous?
Sugar over salt seems a bit healthier to me somehowGrin

I am quite overweight even though I don't drink fizzy drinks, eat chocolate and very moderate biscuits (maybe a couple a week) with my coffee, so I have to be quite careful with what I eat. I like savoury so I try instead of eating a whole sharer bag of Doritos (which I can easily do), I now eat popcorn (250 calories for the whole bag)

YABU to try to choose between them. Enjoy them all.

@Justlovedogs

I’m going to give the cheese and raw onion thing a whirl - if I can’t have crisps then cheese is a good second best 😂
(I might throw a piece of fruit in too, just to be on the safe side).

It depends which one is higher risk for you: diabetes or high blood pressure.

MrsKingfisher · 16/04/2020 20:35

How about before you eat a biscuit or crisps you imagine them covered in old hair and bits of dog poo with a few maggots chucked in for good measure?! Mmmm really taste that hairy poo maggot infested goodie 😬

My local supermarket had Easter eggs (decent - medium size) at £1 each. I bought 4 Blush can I pretend that they are few calories due to the fact they are hollow?

SistemaAddict · 16/04/2020 23:27

These are worrying, stressful, and miserable times so just eat whatever you fancy within reason. I'm just about to eat another creme egg 🤷🏼‍♀️ Lockdown is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to your favourite edible treats.

Have the crisps for binge dinner and chocolate for binge dessert!

B1rdbra1n · 16/04/2020 23:54

I would go for those pink wafer biscuits....they just air and chemicals😊 can't be any calories in that😊used to love them when I was a kid😊 I think I'll buy some more on my next government mandated supply run🤩

DS got quite tubby a few years back, so I stopped buying crisps because he could practically inhale six bags in one sitting, and started buying crackers instead. Naice crackers, obviously, but the 30 seconds worth of effort buttering some oatcakes and topping with cheese/chutney/tomato/Marmite/whatever slowed him right down from just eating from packets constantly without thinking.
And crackers are cheaper too Grin
